I have 2 pc's, same OL monitor, but each has it's own smarterm. The data displaying is different on each. Both use the same pending log and all the settings appear to be identical. However one is pulling all stats and the 2nd one is only pulling stats from ER. Why are they different? I need them to be the same. |

The most likely thing is that there is some difference in the filters. Check each filter and make sure the options like 'Exclude/Include' and 'stop on match' are the same on both computers.
Another thing to check is the default priority code under the advanced tab.
Make sure the worksheet and lab are the same under the Misc tab.
Finally and this one is a long shot, if you were at one time running the old Ol Monitor Classic version on one of the pc's, some of the old filter packets might still be there. Ol Monitor Classic was superseded by the VIM version on March 21,2006, and finally discontinued on January 17, 2007, I doubt you still have settings floating around from that long ago.
Let me know if that helped, if not you may need to submit a problem report so I can look at your configuration settings. See the troubleshooting steps under the 'Support' tab at the olmonitor.com homepage. |

There is now another option that you can try, the OL Monitor Settings Manager.
http://www.olmonitor.com/blog/?p=172
-First you would need to install Settings Manager on both pc's.
-Using Ol Monitor on the good pc, see which settings location is active.
(see which 'Reload with' location has the checkmark: http://www.olmonitor.com/ManualM/window_1_2.htm)
-Close Ol Monitor
-Using settings manager, load up the current settings on the pc that is displaying correctly.
-Backup those settings to a network folder or usb drive.
-Go to the problem pc and load up the current settings with Settings Manager.
-Before making changes, backup the current settings (just in case).
-Open the backup file from the usb key or network folder.
-Select the new tab from the backup.
-Click 'Copy settings to another location'
-Select the settings location to copy to. Make a note of which location you copied them to.
-Click apply, then click the save button on the toolbar to commit changes.
-Open OL Monitor and 'Reload with' the settings location you noted earlier. |
