I am new to OLMonitor so I only have a few location filters set up but have yet to figure out how to remove a test. I have CYTO set up to be filtered out but it is not working. Does it matter where it is on the filter list? CYTO is defined as a test in MA1, what am I missing?
Here is my filter: "Test = CYTO end" exclude |

For anyone who is having this same problem, Catherine and I resolved it over email. If you have any inclusive filters defined they override other filters. To make it easier to deal with this a new 'Stop on Match' feature was added. For more info see the blog post here:

I'm trying to set up what I thought would be very simple filters for the monitor that is being used in phlebotomy for unreceived specimens.
I'm trying to exclude all tests with the priority code of V. Sometimes there is more than one priority and/or freetext
SCVP-V,
V-;arterial blood
V
First filter was written as if priority contains V then end. Selected as exclusion.
The other 3 filters are simply a string of locations codes that we want to include. We ended up with three filters. Location Code = to each value and linked with OR.
The tests with the V priority are not being excluded. I also tried to use test code instead of priority to exclude by. That didn't work either.
What simple thing am I missing?
Thanks |

Hi again, you can get your filter to do what you want by using the 'stop on match' option.
See blog post:

Basically you can have the filter process stop as soon as it sees the 'V' in the priority. The other inclusive filters are probably allowing the V priorities to slip in. |
